The Beginning
For fifty years, PHD's foundation for their customers has been
innovation, superior performance, quality, service, and
value. From humble beginnings in 1957, founders Harry Sr.,
Jack, Tom, and Jim Neff along with Dick Futter and Dan
Flickinger had a vision.... manufacture a small bore
pneumatic/hydraulic cylinder that provides customers durability,
reliability, strength, and rebuildability for extended
value. From this vision, PHD and the Tom Thumb® cylinder were
created. Today PHD has grown into a worldwide corporation
embracing new markets and ways of designing and thinking about
industrial automation. From the first small bore cylinder to
our present wide range of automation components, PHD provides
world-class customer service, support, and cost-effective
products. PHD's commitment to excellence can be summarized by
its driving force: "PHD will provide the customers what they
want, when they want it."
Appreciation
PHD celebrates its 50th anniversary recognizing the same
principles from the beginning that remain at the forefront
today: innovation, the highest level of customer service,
superior quality, strong individual work ethic, and a passion to
do the right thing. These principles have been evident not only
within PHD, but throughout the business network. PHD sincerely
thanks all past and present employees, distribution partners,
suppliers, the Board of Directors, and most importantly PHD
customers for contributing to 50 years of success. |
